VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO REGISTER FAMILIES FOR CHRISTMAS ASSISTANCE
Columbia, S.C., October 17, 2013 – The Salvation Army of the Midlands is CALLING VOLUNTEERS TO ACTION! Caring volunteers, ages 18 and up, are needed to help people register for Christmas assistance. Each year The Salvation Army provides Christmas presents for children throughout the Midlands and helps make the season bright for struggling families. Registration days are a three day opportunity for families in need to sign their children up to receive Christmas presents. Can you and/or your co-workers, family members, church members, friends volunteer to assist with registering families for our Christmas program?
Volunteers would need to attend a brief orientation led by Salvation Army staff on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4th at one of three 30 minute training sessions being offered at the Ruff Building on the SC State Fairgrounds. Start times are 9:00am, 12:30pm, or 3:30pm. Upon completion, volunteers will be eligible to choose to work shifts for our Christmas Warehouse Registration on:
- TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5th from 8:30am-12:30pm, 12:30pm-4:30pm, or 4:30pm-6pm
- WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6th from 8:30am-12:30pm, or 12:30pm-4:30pm
- THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7th from 8:30am-12:30pm, 12:30pm-4:30pm or 4:30pm-7pm
