Homeless Prevention & Rapid Re-housing
Homeless Prevention & Rapid Re-housing
The Salvation Army's Homeless Prevention & Rapid Re-housing program is supported in part by a grant from HUD to assist families and individuals affected by the declined economy. This program provides financial assistance and case management for families who are being evicted or are already homeless. Over the period of the program (January 2010-July 2012), The Salvation Army will assist over 1,000 individuals in attaining increased housing security through financial assistance and case management.
In Fiscal Year 2010 (October 2009 - September 2010), 89 people received assistance to prevent homelessness and 61 homeless individuals received assistance in establishing a permanent residence.
