Homeless Services
The homeless face extraordinary barriers in meeting basic human needs. The Salvation Army served 46,813 meals in 2010. We provide clothes, coats, shoes, and other necessities. Staff meet daily with clients--problem solving, goal setting, and encouraging growth and change. Overall, 4,357 people received emergency basic needs assistance in the social services department. 3,642 clothing vouchers were issued to the needy. 123 hygiene kits were distributed. The Salvation Army provides additional assistance based on individual client needs.
