Homeless Services
The homeless face extraordinary barriers in meeting basic human needs. The Salvation Army served 141,228 meals in 2012. We provide clothes, coats, shoes, and other necessities. Staff meet daily with clients--problem solving, goal setting, and encouraging growth and change. Overall, 1,567 people received emergency basic needs assistance in the social services department. One thousand nine hundred and eleven (1,911) clothing vouchers were issued to the needy. Two thousand and one (2,001) hygiene kits were distributed. The Salvation Army provides additional assistance based on individual client needs.
