Homeless Services
The homeless face extraordinary barriers in meeting basic human needs. The Salvation Army serves an average of 4,519 meals per month (over 54,000 per year). We provide clothes, coats, shoes, and other necessities. Staff meet daily with clients--problem solving, goal setting, and encouraging growth and change. In 2008, The Salvation Army helped 76 homeless individuals secure a permanent residence.
